New and Improved ticket cost only $1.00 :

Match Win Chances to Win (per selection)
6/6* $2,000,000 1:13,983,816
5/6+Bonus* $75,000 1:2,330,636
5/6 $750 1:55,492
4/6 $75 1:1,033
3/6 $10 1:57
2/6+Bonus $5 1:81
Any prize 1:32

The $2 million Grand Prize does not grow in size and is shared when there are multiple winners. If there are more than six 5/6+Bonus ($75,000 prize) winners, each winner will share in $450,000.

5/6+Bonus
A bonus seventh number is also drawn. If your BC/49 ticket matches five numbers on one line plus the Bonus number, you're a winner in the 5/6+ category!

@ old and unacceptable ticket cost of $0.50 :

Match Win Chances to Win (per selection)

I think I'll move to BC... ...you guys have the best deal from what I see:agree:. Ontario 49 is still at $1M for $.50:bawl:. 6/49 at $1 would pay out less than $50 many times for 4 hitters:dang:. 1$M or $2M... ...its still a pile of cash.

George:)

This will spread across to all provincial lottos.

As I said, all these lottos will change with the introduction of the new 6/49

i don't think it will spread from BC.

BC does these weird things like their 5 minute keno :dang: , i personally think it's terrible for a government to act like a vegas style casino with their public keno. :dang:

Don't quit your province yet George ;), guess what irks us BCers to put it mildly, is that not only did the cost of playing double but we were lead to believe that the bottom tier prizes would double in tandem.
Now that in itself would not make it much easier to accept the increase but to have all the lower prizes actually shrink per buck played is another insult.
Final slap in the face is the new 2/6+Bonus $5 1:81, when one considers plopping down a looney and winning $5 is actually less likely than getting $10 for the same coin.

And lets not forget this lotto has no balls but is compgened :dang:

So when you come to BC I hope it's for the mountain views rather than to blow a looney in hopes of getting chump change :D
P.S. I know you were kidding, so was I ... confintentially :wavey:

to Charles:

I couldn't agree more on the BC Keno insanity but you know what peeves me even more?? Nick's system actually works with this crazy Keno!! :bawl:

Guess who's considering moving back to Ontario?

The Computer Generated game is the scariest.

Wanna know something real Krazy, Beak? I considered parking myself in the local watering hole with my lappy and a portable ticket printer to have a go at Keno with LottoSelector
Problem is I'd have to take a typing course first to improve on my 2 finger speed!! ... and even then I feel it would be dicey at best trying to keep up

someone shoot me now, pleeeze!! before I begin blowing bubbles in my beer

666,000+++ draws of history to look at :dizzy::nuts:

BC49 SALES ARE WORSE THAN B4

If you look up the number of Winners last night, you would see not many tickets were sold the way they wanted!! Which is great.
Only 11 ppl matched 5/6..Usually it's 18 or sometimes 20 something.
505 ppl matched 4/6..Usually it's around 900 !!
Hopefully it stays that way :agree:

Lower than 1/2 would mean less ppl played

Korax,

what your numbers show is that about the same number of ppl played with about the same 'budget', don't forget the doubling effect. With the odds for a buck doubled, number of prizes won will be halved for half the amount of tickes played.
My guess is players spent the same amount as they used to do but got only 1/2 the usual tickets.

Your quick stats actually indicate more tickets may have been purchased, as your stated averages show.

A better indicator would be the actual $$ spent, the avg for BC49 used to be around $300K to $350K per draw. Sympatico used to publish the amounts, I haven't seen that in a long time tho.

I know ... let's ask our Buddy!!

Hey Powerball!! Do you have an answer for us ?

Cheers:D

Reality Will Hit them soon

Brad,

Perhaps the same ppl played but when they see later on that more money spent to get the regular 3/6, they would abandon more and that is what we need :)

I have a friend who played and was pissed off when he saw BC49 4/6 was higher than CN49 4/6 hahahaha..

Let's wait and see :agree:

You and I and most ppl on this BB know it, but does the avg Joe Quickpicker realize BCLC put the screws to them? :notme:

There is no Smiley descriptive enough to show how I feel about BC49/BCLC

... so I'm playing ON49 by proxy :agree:

Like Winkle said in another thread, my BC lotto $$ will flow out of province now

SOME PROFITS WERE MADE

Brad,

Accoring to Business news today, BCLC made some profits like 600,000 in Sales more than pervious WEdnesday!!

But BCLC Officials cautioned that this is only one Draw so it's not a conclusion of the whole thing.
The bad news is I see ppl I know still play even though they talk too much..
So at the end I think BCLC will make some profits but not to the extent they wish for!!

I guess a year would be a god test to know what the scoop is.
