lately my computer is acting odd...!
PROBLEM: When my pc is shut down from AOL, it gets the updates from AOL and then click---my entire setup goes thru a re-start process and truncates some files before having a normal decktop. Not always but enough to take notice.
What I've done to get my pc running correctly is: Went into "Safe Mode" and ran NODE32 with indepth checking. Found one grimlin and quaranteened it.
Ran Spybot and cleaned house.
Totally removed AOL and all of its extras then reran NODE32 and also reran the Spybot program.
Reinstalled AOL from another disc.
Went back into safemode and cleaned my registry.
I installed a new internal modem and it appears ok from all of the testing that I have done to it (modem.)
Anyone have any notions about this on going problem? I feel that it may be an electro-mechanical problem or something along this line...help would be appreciated!
