Is one allowed to be specific about the program he uses when discussing or inquiring?

I think the answer to this is yes, because there are numerous threads on this board where references are made to what software individuals are using to calculate or part calculate their combinations.
What is NOT accepted is the promotion of software or advertising via links etc.
For a definative answer please read the Forum Rules.
