Mega Millions sets a new record

The Mega Millions Lottery set a new North American record jackpot at $390 million. The record was set after 15 rolls. The previous 15 roll record was $294 million and interestingly, it was set under the old Mega Millions matrix with lower odds. The previous 15 roll record that was set under the current matrix was $262 million.

The previous North American record was the $365 million Powerball jackpot.

The previous Mega Millions draw also set a jackpot record. The $275 million jackpot set a 14 roll record. The previous 14 roll record was $270 million.

In the aftermath of the record Mega Millions jackpot, sales are higher than normal. Therefore the jackpot is growing faster than normal.

After 2 rolls, the estimated jackpot is $28 million. This is close to the 2 roll record of $31 million.
