I don't like any of those at all:no:. I'm more of a "song here and a song there" mostly... ...to relax and enjoy for me, means no thought should be required... ...listening to lyrics is something I've never bothered with... ...how it sounds is all I'm after:agree:. The first time I hear a song I make up my mind real quickly and its very rare I'd change my mind about one. A song which can capture my interest by lingering around after hearing it is what does it for me... ...if its boring or demands exploring, forget about it, not for me. Those which are repeat often don't bother me. I've heard many complainers who don't agree with what I like and its more of just an exuse and put down.

Some of these songs with phrases in the lyrics which are offensive don't stand much of a chance either.

This would be a real shocker since I declared I don't like country... ...Devil Went Down to Georgia is one I really like:agree:. There are others. This is so very rare folks:eek:.

Regards,
George:)

I love music, and I like just about every genre there is with the exception of opera, rap and the blues. :)

I don't like opera and the blues either... ...I'm closing in on 50 and I actually like listening to rap, go figure. If I like it, I like it... ...if I don't, forget about it.

I also have no complaints for a symphony orchestra provided a recording is played on a really good sound system so the music sounds just like it was played live. Going to see one is a real treat!

George:)

I don't mind it... ...better than other things. What is on your list of things you like? If I ever was giving you a ride in my car, I would not disrespect you or anyone by playing rap if they objected to it. Just don't ask me for country 'cause you are wasting your breath with that idea.

Regards,
George:)

WELL ALL DEPENDING ON THE MOOD I AM IN, I LIKE COUNTRY, SHANIA TWAIN IS MY FAVORITE, THEN I LIKE MODERN MUSIC , AND WHEN I HAVE A REALLY STRESSED DAY I LIKE CLASSIC.

I hear ya with the heavy metal... ...they tend to be on drugs:no: too. They also need to learn how to sing so the screaming would not be necessary. Heavy metal equals rebelion which leads to an excuse to behave like that kind of crowd.

George:)

Good point, you are probably right with that one:agree2:... ...I don't buy anything from them anyway or pay attention too much either.

There are these characters with no respect for anyone else driving around the neighborhood in their ridiculous cars pretending they are in a gang or might even actually be in one:eek:. Of course they have hudge speakers which make your windows shake... ...just morons:no:. The lastest thing which is out of control is those exhaust systems which are nothing more than amplifiers... ...we are talking music here and they are in love with that kind of "music" they create:rolleyes:.

On a lighter note... ...there is always (I have all of these and more)... ...The Bee Gees, Little River Band, The Guess Who, Boston, Wham!, Elton John, Olivia Newton John, ABBA, Bananarama, Barry White, Beach Boys, Beatles, Blondie, Bonnie Tyler, Bon Jovi, Bryan Adams, Blue Oyster Cult, Bob Welch, Cher, Tina Turner, Madonna, Procol Harum, Ace of Base, ABC, Bangles, Barry Manilow, Belinda Carlise, Billy Joel, Bob Seager, Boston, BTO, Cars, Culture Club, Coven, Captain and Tenille, Carpenters, Celine Dion, Cheap Trick, Chicago, David Bowie, Donna Summer, Dobbie Brothers, Duran Duran, Eagles, Elissa, Eric Clapton, Everything But the Girl, Fleetwood Mac, Gary Newman, Gino Vanelli, Glass Tiger, Gloria Estafan, Gloria Gaynor, Go Go's, Gordon Lightfoot, Greatful Dead, Guns 'N Roses, Hall & Oates, Harry Chapin, Heart, Heuy Lewis & The News, Human League, Janet Jackson, Jethro Tull, Jim Croce, Jimmy Buffet, John Cougar Mellencamp, Johnny Rivers, Journey, Kansas, KC & The Sunshine Band, Kim Mitchell, Laura Branigan, Level 42, Lighthouse, Linda Ronstadt, Loverboy, McMaster and James, Men At Work, Men Without Hats, Micheal Jackson, Motels, Musical Youth, Neil Diamond, Paula Abdul, Pet Shop Boys, Pat Benetar, Peter Frampton, Player, Police, Prince, Queen, Robert Palmer, REO Speed Wagon, Roxette, R.E.M., Rough Trade, Santana, Savage Garden, Simple Minds, Spandau Ballet, Spice Girls, Steely Dan, Steppen Wolf, Styx, Steve Miller Band, Super Tramp, Tommy Tutone, Toni Braxton, Toto, Van Halen, Will To Power, Wilson Phillips, and even some ZZ Top!

I like a mixture of music, but mostly either dance, electronic, hip-hop, house, or industrial, heavy metal, alternative, etc..

To name some favorite bands; KMFDM, NIN, shocore, white zombie, rob zombie, system of a down, rammstein, limp bizkit, Kittie, as for dance and such, i don't know most of the artist's/groups names, but the main station i would listen to in the car is z103.5 from the toronto area...

I also like some stuff from the 80's/90's much of the 'one hit wonders' I guess you would call them..

103.5 is one of the better stations in the area... ...they finally FIXED104.5 about a year ago, it was SO BAD before that. 99.9 is just terrible.

Thank you very much... ...first one I heard was Paul McCartney:agree2:. We shall see if this was an accidental good song or the norm.

Thanks for explaining... ...you learn something new everyday. Jazz is better without the singing, that is for sure... ...better than country! I know what Jazz sounds like (it don't bother me at all) and don't know much more about Jazz beyond that.

When I was in a Drum Corps, I'd get a ride with someone to practices who likes to listen to Jazz... ...first there was a show called "As It Happens" and then it was Jazz... ...good thing it was not country... ...no complaints here.

Oh, I've said too much already.

Regards,
George:)
