Maximizing your winning potential

I would like to introduce a discussion here concerning strategies for coming up with winning numbers for the Keno game.

First of all, I play the Ontario Daily Keno. Any discussion showing results, could you please state which lottery your playing if other than Ontario Daily Keno.

I use MS Excel to line my numbers up and I color code the winning numbers. That way it is easier to see combos, repeating numbers.... etc.

Strategies:

I will start off by stating that I have won many times on the following formula... play numbers such as:
7,37,47
27,57,67

Sure could win on more numbers, but, usually three is the most that come up. Don't over play more than three numbers.

Also, 20,21,22,23,24,25,27,29
Notice that I skipped 26 and 28. That is because in the past that is what happens. So if you play a bunch of numbers in a series like that, try to guess on which numbers will not be given.

Strategy 2: If I was to play a bunch of numbers in a series, I would break it up so that I can maximize my winnings.
i.e.
Ticket #1: 20,21,22,23,24,25,27,29
Ticket #2: 20,21,22,23,24,25
Ticket #3: 20,21,22,23,24
Ticket #4: 20,21,22,23
Ticket #5: 20,21,22
Ticket #6: 25,27,29
Ticket #7: 21,22,23,24,25
Ticket #8: 22,23,24,25,27
Ticket #9: 23,24,25,27,29
Ticket #10: 20,21,22,23,24,25,26,28

Just an example, but you can see that by playing it this way. you can possibly win on almost all your tickets if it should come out like that!

Another strategy is to play numbers that don't come up a lot... hoping that they are due some how. My only answer to this one is that it is possible that the number is gonna show eventually, but not the day your playing it! So play what is hot now and not what was hot before.

Playing the 17,18,19 combo, which has not shown it's face in a long time... and it don't seem to be coming anytime soon is a valid strategy since it shows up all the time.

Also, 67,68,69 is in the same fate as 17,18,19. But 8,9,10 has shown itself twice this month of July already... so play todays trend to win. If the numbers are not coming in and there are certain numbers that are coming in... play them.

If 61 repeats. Play it again. If it repeats two days in a row, play it for a 3rd, 4th and 5th day until it stops showing up. In July, the number 61 has show up 8 times. 4 times in a row in the past 4 days. And there have only been 10 days that have gone by!!!! On the other hand 68 and 69 have only shown up twice each, in the month of July. They've had better days.

Would anyone else like to add some of their strategies for picking numbers?::agree: dang:

Thanks

Thank you for that post.

I am new at Keno and it sure helps to have it explained so clearly.

I have Quattro Pro not Excel so I will try tracking #'s in that as has been suggested.
So far I have played about 5 days ( not in a row) - 3 sets of #'s each time, but no luck yet.
I will try your suggestions and look for better days ahead.

POOL OF NUMBERS: 9,15,34,47,52,53,56,61

9,15,34
47,52,56
52,53,56
52,53,55,56
34,47,52,56
34,47,52,56,61
15,34,47,52,56
9,15,34,47,52,56
9,15,34,47,52,56,61
9,15,34,47,52,56,61
9,15,18,34,47,52,56,61
I think this is the best way to play the game :agree:

You hit a couple of 3's maybe some 4's to cover your costs and win some extra for the next game, and you continue those DN's with a few others to play some 6's and 7's or more to give yourself a chance at some BIG cash.

Hit the 3's and you're happy. Hit more and with some luck you have a nice BIG payout.

Good luck with them :agree:

Interesting discussion here...Personnally I think that budget dictates the way we play...
I like the 8 hitters up...But only because I won evererything under that on more than one occasion...
But we can also play under 4 and wager more on these picks...got to consider that too....
:agree: :agree2:

Budget?

Very hard to pick 8 correct. But you could win easily on 3 or 4 number picks. Typical numbers that usually come up, are always in 3's. The odd time you might get more numbers, but usually the rule of thumb here is that 3 numbers come up a lot.

Weather that be three days in a row or three number combos:
Friday[4,11,12,17,19,21,24,29,35,36,
38,44,47,49,53,55,57,63,68,70]

4,24,44
17,47,57

notice it's usually three numbers to a group:
21,24,29
25,36,38
44,47,49
53,55,57

Another day, another example:
Saturday[6,8,11,12,16,20,23,24,33,39,
43,45,48,49,50,56,57,62,67,68]

8,48,68

20,23,24
50,56,57
62,67,68

Ah-ha.... a 4 number combo:
43,45,48,49

Sunday[2,3,8,12,19,21,22,23,25,26,
28,29,31,34,40,42,51,53,63,68]

8,28,68
2,3,8

Another 4 combo: 3,23,53,63

So you can see that the majority is three numbers together and the odd day, you get your 4 number. Of course there are those days when more that 4 come up as in the last example:
21,22,23,25,26,28,29 Notice the missing numbers? 20,24,27

Well, play those for tonight (Monday June 19, 2004)!!!!
20,24,27 bet it for $10!!!! Good Luck

Would anybody be interested in doing some group play once a week

Aim for 8 numbers
10 pleople choose 50 lines using charts and shared excell files
hot calcualte the hottest numbers

giving 500 possible combinations increasing the odds of getting $25,000, this would require some organisation but I am confident that together we can eachive great things

split 10 ways will provide $2,500 each or looses $50.00

I read somewhere that on an average day

10 hot numbers
7 medium numbers
3 cold numbers

will come up, watching the charts at www.lotterydirectory.com regularly this seems to be "the norm"

Hello

I like the pool of numbers thing. I play Keno in Atlantic Canada, and was doing good at first, little bit of a hard time now. So with the pool, you just pick 8 numbers at random and go from there ? How do you divide them up ? I love to play keno, and I am quite happy to win my money back or a bit more, or like you girls and guys say, hit a nice one once in awhile ! Good luck all
