A quick question...

I was just wondering who might be clicking on Mark All Forums Read. When someone does that, it affects all others who use View New Posts meaning, it turns up nothing:bawl: from that point in time.

Dennis:

Yes, for that, it does... ...I was looking for new posts on the Repeaters thread and I get nothing when there was something new. A pain in the butt if you ask me.

If someone does it thinging it was only for thier logon, I was hoping it might show someone more clearly it is in fact a global impact for all.

Regards,
George:)

ops...

I usually use that.... but it shouldn't have a global impact! LT will have to look at it!

Does "Mark this forum read" have the same effect?

I'll stop using it for the time being!
Sorry for the problems it might have caused!

OOOOOOOOOOPPPPPPPPPPPSSSS!

Like thornc I use that.
I find it very useful to quickly see what has been posted from the last time I looked.
Sorry to everyone for any inconvenience this has caused.
I will stop using it. I agree with thornc that it shouldn't have a global impact and that it should only affect the user.
I wonder if something has recently changed to cause this, I am sure that if this had always been the case that it would have come to light long before now.

PAB

That's funny George.

I don't use to mark all forums read, but I thought that making that click just would change the cookie inside my computer.

Can we know why that's not so, George?

Thornc:

Thank you for your understanding... ...I think all of those are Marks are global. If it was per use it would be great. I have this feeling LT can't do anything for us but, its still worth a try.

George:)

... ...looks like someone like myself realizing this has made it clear to others what clicking there does. There are pobably others who do the same thing and I appreciate your kindness in sharing with us.

I would not hold your breath about the idea LT could make adjustments. If it was possible to make a change, it would be much better:agree:. Its all in the hands of the configuration settings which I've got no idea what is allowed to be changed.

One thing I have also noticed, midnight also does an automatic Mark All Forums Read which LT might be able to look into as well. Cross your fingers folks.

We also have Log Out just too close to Mark All Forums Read.

Regards,
George:)

Darn it!... ...someone just clicked Mark All Forums Read it again:bawl:.
Hard to believe that has a global impact

If it has, doesn't affect me for some reason

Delete your cookies George - you might see a different result. :agree:
