LottoMax Strategies

How many of you are playing this game? And what strategies are you using?

This is a 7/49 game, which is basically the same as 6/49 if you count in the bonus number. So the same strategies should apply, no?

The disadvantage that I see is that you can only pick 1/3 of your own numbers :( (unless you live in Quebec, like Babar)

That means that you are left trying to fill in the spaces between the QPs that they give you which forces the cost up (probably their intention!) :bomb:

Anyway, how are people dealing with this game?

I'm not playing combinations with this game it's to expensive  I'm just buying instapiks.I'm hoping to get babar's option someday of controlling all my own #'s.Didn't super7 start out with the same playing options at first??

Agreed about the expense :agree: -- we should all contact our provincial lottery commissions to lobby for the option of 3 personal picks per $5 ticket.

its all in their game to try and control wheelers like you guys, they left the option of picking all three line for QC only BECAUSE THOSE FRENCH PEOPLE WONT TAKE THAT S*hit!! THE SALES THERE WOULD BE CRAP If THEY would have to pick one line

And Dont Count On The Qc Play Slips Comming To Your Province Anytime Soon

Its Just Perfect For Them To Control The Draw So That They Can Build A Huge Jackpot On Lottomax Than Trying To Avoid Wheelers Too Much Time And Headache For Them

I totally agree with the expenses of this lottery.

I don't like using QP's and this lotto forces you to get at least two QP's.
However,i have been trying to make at least one set of numbers and the other two QP's.
I have done a lot better with my selected numbers.

I'm using full spectrum picks (equals 7 lines).

My thinking is that using a full spectrum spread (and balancing the picks via the use of sums), there are fewer lines to capture the 7 numbers if all 49 numbers are played - as opposed to full spectrum 649 plays (equal 9 lines).

Am I off my rocker?

I mean to capture all 7 numbers in one line, if all 49 numbers are played over 7 lines.

After trying to pick my own numbers, and rarely even
getting 1 number, let alone all 7,...
i gave up on lottomax, mostly because they make you
get quick picks (crap numbers), ...the price is $5 each,
...and also astronomical odds of winning
Seems like more of a big moneygrab
for the Gov and lottery commision, than anything !!

To figure out your odds of getting all seven numbers correct: (7/49)*(6/48)*(5/47)*(4/46)*(3/45)*(2/44)*(1/43)

To convert this to a fraction will make it easier to understand:
1/[(7/49)*((6/48)*(5/47)*(4/46)*(3/45)*(2/44)*(1/43)]

1/[(0.142857142857143)*(0.125)*(0.106382978723404)*(0.0869565217391304)*(0.0666666666666667)*(0.0454545454545455)*(0.0232558139534884)]

=1: 85,900,584 for a lottery player personally selecting the winning line of numbers for a 7 out of 7 top prize win (these odds do not apply to quick picks).

The lottery corporations are using a lower number based on a $5 play having 3 lines 28,633,528 (85,900,584/3 lines=28,633,528).

With the true odds of 85,900,584 that would mean you would have to purchase 85,900,584 different combinations to have every winning combination costing $429,502,920.00 to win the jackpot with a limit of $50 Million (the possiblity of the bonus lines containing the winning numbers was not included for this comparison).

It is your money: you can go for best odds or the real Loooooooooooooooong shot like Lotto Max with 1 in 85,900,584 to win the top prize.

there is no workable strategy with odds like that...lol

quick picks, lots and lots of quick picks is the only way to play it.

i did try some logical stats and played for more than 500$ for the last few draws and end up with only a few free tickets. Really this lotery is not worth any stats.

Better play Quick Pick I think or pray ''the LOTTERY GODS'' if there is any?:dang:

Even thought this lotery odds is way to expensive....1/89 millions or so. I was wondering if someone think that 8-18-28-8 and 48 could be good tonight...:look:

Pssit i wole up with... **** I forget to play my slip tonight... Weird dream! Any idea is welcome

anybody ever saw so many eights.. nine or any numbers finishing by the same number in this lotery

oh i posted a strategy over on lotterypost ill grab a copy and post here

this game gives you quick picks and pick your own numbers and is high priced, its a monster. i would only play when its ha real high jackpot, and there are garunteed 20+ millionaires as they also do 20x 7 extra numbers that have to all be matched to win 1 mill. that is the truely awesome part

here is my ploy to play when they do have this extra bonus number of potential winners.

play thse numbers you get all 7 numbers 2x and about 50% of the times will win three quickpicks lol

as there are also quick picks involved you will also get 26 quick picks.

as the div 1 prize is capped at $50 mill every mill over $50 is an extra chance at 1 more millionaire

ie if the prize pool is $80M there are 30 more 7 numbered lines drawn, and you would comparre alll your 39 lines ea against the 30 7 numbered lines.

if you match any of the extra 30 drawn lines with all 7 numbers you win a mill. but nothing for any lesser matches

note this is a wheel you can swap numbers around like 1 with 22, and 2 with 15 , so you make it unique to your self. ie dont ciopy these numbers out make youw own tickets with this as a guide

18 22 25 29 32 34 41
5 12 24 27 43 45 46
5 8 9 14 16 30 31
3 11 19 31 35 45 48
4 7 10 16 32 40 42
3 4 20 27 28 33 47
19 21 23 26 30 40 43
8 11 20 21 39 44 46
12 13 14 23 33 39 48
1 6 7 36 37 38 49
9 13 24 26 28 35 44
2 10 15 17 36 41 47

So, you are suggesting that the best strategy for this game is to wait until the JP is $50 mil with a bunch of $1M bonus prizes built up and then play your wheel at $60 bucks each time. That would give you 12 lines of your own picks plus 24 lines of quick picks, for 36 shots at one of those prizes.

Any tips on how you pick numbers for your wheel? It looks like you are using the full spectrum?

The JP is $40 mil now, so maybe in a couple of weeks we will have a chance to check it out. :agree:

yeah its not ideal but it captures every number. and i think theres a good chance of a free ticket,. you also get the 24 quick picks that should increase the odds of a win and get some more or even a win. personally i would save up till there where a large number of $1 mill wins avail and go for all those extra draws; but thats me.
i did use cover master to generate about %90 chance of a 2 hit i think...

is it really $60 a go? a 3 line qp isnt really such a great prize, can you hold onto it, till the next $50m bonus draw?

as to suggestions. only get real lucky. as ive posted in other threads i have had dreams about lotto numbers, any intuition should be followed, and just lock those numbers in your wheel.

like i have a line listed there of 18 22 25 29 32 34 41
now say you dreamed of 2 4 8 9 13
you would replace 18 with 2, 22 with 4 25 with 8 etc.

oh and i had a pal with a gf living in Canada, and we got her to buy us this wheel, plan was to go 3 ways on a win. it was during a 80 mill give away. we won i think 2x 3 free tickets that got played next week.
