Lotto Tutor and Lloyd Robertson

Lloyd Robertson and the CTV National news has always been my favourite news presentation.

Tuesday I received an email from CTV asking to interview Lotto Tutor. I said sure. The TV truck arrived at 1:30 pm, did the interview and the feature was shown on Wednesday's news. The cameraman showed me the numbers he and his associates had pooled to play for the 40 mil draw on Wednesday. You guessed it - all "birthday numbers" which I had advised not to play along with some other tips. One number stood out from the sequence of 1 - 31 which was a 44. I said that must be someone's age. He said yes - it was his. :)

They wanted me to predict the 6 winning numbers - yeah right

I told them I do pools of twenty but I could offer them a best bet prediction for the Wednesday draw as number 31. When I was talking to the CTV person on Wednesday morning she told me everyone at CTV was playing 31 along with their other numbers.

I hope at least one of them got a 5 plus the bonus number of 31 in last night's draw. :D

LT - the Life and Times of a Lotto-BB Wizard :D

Is there a link to the interview? We'd like to see it if possible :agree:

edit: I found it!! Should I post it?? ;)

Play least popular numbers in parimutuel lotteries

I saw that interview, but didn't connect LottoTutor.com with this forum. My website has been featured on CTV before, but I'm not sure if I would want to be on TV.

You are correct that birthday numbers are not the best way to play. The reason is that for parimutuel lotteries like Lotto 6/49, Super 7 and Pick-3, you will have a higher expected value in the long run by playing the least popular numbers.

Many Pick-3 players make the blunder of picking popular numbers like 000, 111, ... , 999, 911, 007. Even if they win eventually, so many other players had chosen the same number that their share of the prize pool is much lower than average.

LT, I would also be very interested in reading the article. Can you tell us where to find it?

I know!! I know!! Can I tell??

Google CTV News: Todd Battis covers the lure of the lottery
from Oct 26 and then look for the video clip of the same name.
It was about 2-3 min long with a piece on Lotto Tutor near the end.

For some reason I haven't been able to locate the link since yesterday,
except in Google Cache ... but it won't play ..... :notme:

LT's gonna shoot the Cat for spilling the beans :worry: ....... :D

Reading about LT getting some recognition for the Web site he created and the success it has achieved would be special to read.
For all the work you put into this Forum LT what's wrong with us reading about it?

:wavey: Bend a littlle LT.

ok - the cat got my tongue :)

It was just a very brief insert in the news about Wednesday's big draw. There is no article to read. A while back a community newspaper serving the GTA did a readable and lengthy article but it is all in Chinese :D

The news clip just had me offering a tip that the birthday bet numbers were not the best to play.

As a result, the only place that I'm a celeb at is my local beer store. When I went in on Thursday the cashier said weren't you on the news last night.

Oh well a few seconds of fame are better than none.

[sarcasm] ... and Brad finally got to see what a handsome and dynamic man I really am ... [/sarcasm]
