Does anyone know why the lotto termincals close down for 6 hours in the morning? I know they have to shut down for the draws but they're also closed between midnight and 6 am pacific time.

Over here they are never closed between midnight and 6 am....So I don't know why they'd be closed in your area??? Strange indeed???

I've always assumed if its completely random then the terminals would be open 24/7...nothing worse than feeling lucky at 2 am only to find out that your local 7eleven can't sell tickets

I've thought to a degree that the lottery is rigged for many reasons and this has always been a contributing fact to that...it makes no sense to shut the termincals down between those times...

Ontario terminals are also closed from 12 a.m. midnight to 6 a.m. (Eastern Time). Just because you can only play lotteries 18 hours each day does not mean that lotteries are rigged.

Perhaps it is for security reasons to keep it all up to date to protect it from virus's etc....
