Hey. I live in NC to and started playing the powerball three months ago. So far the best I have done is I got 2 whiteballs and the powerball number. That was on Saturday Sep 2nd and I got 3 whiteballs once.

But believe it or not, my strategy is not exactly trying to win the whole jackpot, although if I did, I certianly wouldn't complain I try to just go for $200, 000.

As for picking numbers vs QP. It seems I've read that 71% of the people that have won is from QP. But I do both and I don't spend gobs amount of money because I'm not rich...yet.

I only spend at least ten dollars and play them for two drawings and I go to different places for QP's. I've had some luck doing that but not enough to win 200K

It also seems the hardest thing is not getting some numbers right, but nearly impossible to get the sequence correct from numbers you pick yourself. I also don't do wheels. As for powerball number. The one I got correct I actually picked. So in three months I got one powerball number. Go figure.

I do the same thing, I play QP as well as my own numbers & I shoot for the $200,000.00.
If I do happen to match the POWERBALL well then I would just go !!!
I wish NC would get their own unique Pick 5 game.

I agree. I would play Pick 5 over the Powerball. Today some friends and I got together for some tickets. We basically picked our own set of numbers for one line and QP's for the second line. So see if we can have some luck togther.
