Is this possible??

Is it possible to create a wheel that gives a 3if6 guarantee using 49 numbers using 56 combinations?

I figure if the odds of hitting 3#'s are 1 in 56.66 then it should be possible. Right?

Just wondering.

Hi Dejazzman,

The World Record as Far as I Know at Present for 49,6,3,6 is 163 Combinations. I think the Creators were D. Stojiljkovic & R.Belic.

You Can Download the Above Wheel from Dragan Stojiljkovic's Site at :-
http://www.geocities.com/dragans2000/

I am Sure Someone on this Board will be Able to Provide you with a Wheel for this in 56 Combinations, BUT, it will NOT be a 100% Cover of 3 if 6.

If you do NOT want to Download the Wheel I can Post it Here for you.

All the Best

Thanks for the fast response.

I was just going to delete my post. I discovered an error in my logic.

Can you tell me how to calculate the odds of hitting 2 numbers in a 6/49 game? Bonus number excluded.

Thanks

Hi Dejazzman,

For a 649 Lotto that Draws One Bonus Number to go with the Match 5 Only, the Odds of Matching 2 Numbers is :-

((6!/4!)/(2!))x((43!/39!)/(4!))
OR
1 in 7.55

These Odds and a Lot More Information can be Found at johnph77's Excellent Site :-

Good Luck
