About ten years ago I came across a poorly designed distribution curve for lotto sums by Gail Howard. I then decided to generate an accurate curve and wrote an article for LOTTO World. It was not well written and poorly proofread and had various typos.
The nearly perfect Gaussian bell curve was characterized by its mean and standard deviation, which I obtained from a very popular statistics textbook by J. E. Freund (1962). At that time I had never read any websites by Ion Saliu. I did not know nor suspect that the publisher was identical to Steve Player as claimed by Saliu.
In Feb. 2005 I asked Saliu if he knew a formula for the mean std. dev. in lotto numbers because none seemed to be available and experts claimed there is none. Recently
I posted this problem at a Website and was told of a very simple formula.
Recently I asked Saliu to explain his FFG formula, because it is unclear to me and numbers calculated by him do not seem accurate. He responded with a long insult and followed up with a preposterous accusation that I’m a member of the gang of “lottery systems developers” behind the Steve Player products. He also claims they pirate his software and that I’m just trying to help them. In short, he accuses me of being a thief on his private Website open to the public to read but not respond.
Saliu claims that I copied his SUMS.EXE software, which I’ve never been able to download, nor have I ever downloaded any of his many software. He seems to think that nobody could come up with anything similar to his ideas without copying him. Such hubris.
I’ve published more than a dozen scientific papers but never before been accused of plagiarizing or stealing somebody’s work until now by Saliu. He is a paranoid, delusional egomaniac acting like a lunatic.
His ramblings can be found at: <<< links to lottery site forums are in contradiction to the membership rules here >>>
