Well I had to add one person to the ignore list...

If you had to guess I bet you could..

That will not let you grow up Sheba.

Perhaps you are trying to ignore someone that doesn't want to ignore you.

if you use very well the IgnoreFunction you have in your brain you don't need the Forum's one.

People in the net are more difficult to understand indeed, so you need to not ignore them. By the way do you speak french? :D

It is easier to have him/her on ignore than to waste my time....

I am not the one who needs to grow up...

I speak a little french....

I thougt everyone needs to grow up. That doesn't mean I think you are not adult enough to know how to solve your problems ;

A new chapter will begin in this forum and you'll loose it for sure ;)

In defence of person who is being repeatedly threatened to be put on ignore list: I am now going to generate possible small amount of controversy.

I think we all know who you are talking about as it's been all too obvious all over this forum for a while now and way too much time and energy has been wasted on it. I am repeating what I said months before. Sticking my neck out (again) to repeat: quit taking it all so personally. Going also to give a hint as to what may be going on here and that is that said person feels very misunderstood and hurt, and in person's own mind, my guess is trying to set right perceived injustices.

I haven't known a lot of people from La Belle Provence, but what I do know is that they are more flamboyant, theatrical and easily arroused than Les Anglais counterparts. When you see egotism or aggressiveness try to see attempts at friendliness, which I think are real. The desire to be friends with his buddies is almost desperate. I think said person means well even though it comes across as otherwise.

However, having said that, it seems you guys and gals have access to emailing each other and exchange of lottery information between yourselves (the fabled "inner circle" which is the stuff of legend...) and have access to board abilities that lowly folks like myself do not have, so I don't know what secret betrayals may have gone on which don't appear on this forum.

And, my Francophone pal, no offence here. I believe in you as being perfectly capable of being very on the mark, clear and dazzling, in English, or French. (However, I have noticed your logical side seems to manifest most often when making comment or giving advice in English.) Maybe you feel, who am I to tell you what you already know? In that you have a very good mind and a talent for the numbers? But what you may not know is that you are in danger of loosing yourself in this personal popularity and defence against attack-by-others obsession. You have already proven yourself. Aren't you finding out that it's lonely at the top? Go back to the numbers, keep winning, and trust your fishing and hunting instincts.

Finally, even though I risk personal ostracism by the others on this forum, I am going to stand up for you and tell you that I personally enjoy your Quebecois personality and antics. Tu es tres amusant! (By the way, I don't speak French but my husband, who is a psychotherapist and is from Montreal, speaks a little. I'll get my husband to translate as best he can.)

Have a nice day everyone! :)

Thanks! I think...
I understood most of what you said here because I understand most French words, but some of the exact nuance I will run by French speaking hubby to clarify. ;)

Are you Native Atikamekw or Algonquin First Nation? If so, my complete hat is off to you. My best girl friend is married to a full blooded Iroquois. My husband's sister was married to an Iroquois, now an elder. She is still participating in her local Iroquois community. (However, the Iroquois are a very divided bunch of nations). I have a lot of respect, admiration and interest for First Nations people. First Nations peoples have completely different culture, sense of humor, and way of looking at life than Whites.
I kind of had a hunch when you said something, a way, way back about the "Thunderbird". No wonder you have been misunderstood, if this is true! Now I totally get it, as much as is possible for me to get it, though Whites can never really understand the world view of the Red man as it's in the blood. So you are 2 steps removed: by the First Nations way and then by your French heritage. :agree2:

Most of the time ...People don't understand us wether we speak in rethorical metaphorical speeches...or using the image of an abstract concept to state an idea....
Because of that...Most of the time they think that I am bragging or something....And they become mad at me and soon after they are just paparazzys...
I don't use my native language often on these boards...Nobody but one other person to my knowledge on the board can understand it...
I also know some French but I'm not perfect in French as some French posters might have noticed....
I'm also not perfect in English...And I am not offended by people that will throw arrows at me in that regard ...I'm only trying to communicate...That's all...
It is true that we have a different view on things...different doesn't mean better all the time...
The new generations are not like we were...They are more incline to adopt white people attitudes..not for the better always but they don't look back...In a sense we are about to lose our identity in this shifting process..
In our traditions the elders are well recognized...When I look at the whitemen societies ..It makes me sick to see how badly treated these carrier of knowledges and experiences are tossed aside.. :dang:
This can't help a society to get better or stronger...No wonder people are not respecting autorities anymore...Individuality is creating a canvas a bad actions =(if it's good for me it's O:K:)
In this fashion society gets corrupted from the inside ...while it's strink used to come up from that same area, the inside...
Family values are thrown out replaced by chaos ...the fabric of the most powerfull culture in America and in the world today...

Take that '''getting rid of paparazzys'' thing...Now think about how I can achieve this and you will uncover a metaphore...
It is impossible for me to go with what everybody else is thinking and preaching on this board...People here are not used to be in a virtual worlds...For myself and my nation it is like we were born in a virtual world...

Yes, missunderstood is quite right:agree:... ...there are many here who read posts here and get very upset with the things Dennis has expressed many times (I don't get upset like most that easy)... ...they can be insulting from a certain point of view... ...I put much thought into what I write in posts... ...when I was younger in my days at school, I myself, was much worse with peers and didn't understand why:eek:.

Some of my rules, if you could call them are:
1. never laugh at someone else's failure
2. never tell someone you are better than they are
3. don't say you are humble too much, others will think you are not sincere
4. the posted set is what speaks and demonstrates your skill
5. you are only as good as your results from the last draw

Regards,
George:)

Awesome one,

I am still thinking about your reply of the other day. It gave me much to ponder.
Some wise person once said, when you don't know what to do, do nothing. So for now I am doing nothing.
(Except for this post of course).

Merci Beaucoup!
