How many numbers to play?

I like to play at least 4 numbers or more for the keno.

I get exasperated if I choose too many. If a person only plays 2 or 3 numbers at a time, you really don't win very much.

Does anyone have success with their strategies??

i have a system thats really dull and hasnt worked too well.,
basically start on a low spot and when you have lost the max amount you can win on that spot , up the spot bet to next one.
here it works like this
spot 2 = 12
spot 3 = 32
spot 4 = 120
spot 5 = 500
spot 6 = 1300
spot 7 = 8000

i actually took 10 years to get to the spot 7 level, and just over a year ago hit 6 out of 6, for a $1300 win. im still down around $650 losses, so should be playing spot 6's still, but i like 5 cuz its easier to win.

my method is to count loses, and take off any winnings, unless i get back to a positive result, then i reset the game and start at spot 2 again.
i had many resets in early years, unril that 1 fateful time i didnt win anything big for 10 years.
anyhow i didnt say it was a great system, but it does help with my understanding am i ahead or down.

that is wild savagegoose...little bit like martingale betting, but you risk on higher spots insteada doubling down on bets after losses...a martingale hole would be far worse hoho!

yeah i mainly won at 32 , or even 12 many many times , i won at 1 x120 and 1 x 500, then its been a big chase ever since.
i was 100 down when i won 120, and in 400 range when won 500, so even the wins where pretty minor.
i also play spot 10 for the 1 mill jackot tha sometimes runs high around here. but if i look back at 2011 i think the best i did win was $100 :(

I play 2-3 lines of 10 numbers Veronica. You are right about lower combinations not paying very much. My theory is thus if I am lucky I will hit the quarter million mark.

oh and we have $1 min bet on keno, so martingale isnt really an option., like if we had 25c bets, could double to 50c, dbl again to $1 before you get into the big losses.
as it starts here at $1, 1st dble is $2, and then its down the big hole you where on about.
yeah and you are right its after hearing about martingale system i came up with this one. the winning back my losses is ok plan , and i aint a serious better thats why its taken 10 years of playing to be down $2000.
usually keno is a $1 bet with change as i walk out a shop.

although 8x spot 10, with all numbers from1 to 80 would be a good bet, i never want to slam down $8 in 1 hit and can honestly say ive never covered all numbers in keno as it is expensive and runs up the cost real fast. i have analyzed various covers like all numbers covered with spot 7 costing me $12 a bet, ot all covered with spot 5,s =$16, or $40 if i go singles and doubles, , where the 5's also count as spot 10's.

needless to say, all this REQUIRES CONSTANT WINNING, something my studies show dont seem to happen any where near enough to match the rates of losses id face , ie motivation to quit the system

pick 5 is popular with me as its highest win the shop keeper has to hand cash over for , without resorting to go to lotto HQ to collect.
anyhow i have looked over last draws for 5 number combo repeats,. and although it does happen, haw do you pick what 5 numbers of the 20 to repeat?
i worked out that there are 1200 combos of 5 in 20 numbers, and the payout is only $500!
but toy answer your question, i sometimes pick 1 or 2 from the previous 20, to mark on my play . usually as theyre being drawn ill say to self, next number. and mark what ever is drawn.
that is of a spot 5, ill play 3 of my own, and 2 repeats
good luck

man that would be nice...I do not even bother with the Hot Spot game here in California...20/80 Keno...$3 for a 10spot might only pay $100k:rolling:

y'all take it easy, and good luck!

Another way to think about it.

The ideal would be that if you're having a hard time putting together any matches that hit then you should really stick to lower picks such as 2,3 and 4 numbers until you start to get some hits.

It should not matter if you don't win much.

It should matter that you win anything.

And winning anything is better than winning nothing, and at the least it will give you something to continue to work with.

A dollar is a dollar - Look forward to any win!

depending on how your keno works, you can play combos, like a spot 2 and 3 in combo also makes a spot 5. costs 3X as much but also a lot more likely to geet your money back at least.

Sage advice, KenoBanker.

The idea is to start small with the easier combinations. Keep track of what you played and why. Learn from your mistakes. THEN, when you can handle the smaller combinations move up to a higher level.
