How do I get rid of Greek Media Player?

I don't know if I should ask this question under this discussion area or computers. I need help (in more ways than one:lol: ) -
anyway, I downloaded version 10 (I believe it is) of Windows Mdia Player and somehow must have clicked download on the Greek version(?) (The previous version worked perfectly well enough). Now, whenever Media Player is used, its all in Greek on my computer. I can't get rid of the darn thing. Can anyone advise how I can delete it/or switch it to English?

Thanks Maggie! Yes I must have been one of the unlucky ones that downloaded on Oct. 8 or 9 when Media Player was in Greek.
(P.S. Maggie and the rest - You are all so sharp! How did you know about this blogger site?):agree2:

Mirage...halfway through this page http://www.nwlink.com/~zachd/pss/pss.html

Pretty simple...just download the correct language player over the old one.

Karnac, is this a joke? Way too much stuff to read through and try to make sense of. Thanks, but I'll try Maggie's suggestion.
Having Media Player in Greek is not very funny if you are stuck with it. It's not recognised by system for Record Now, for example.

Sit back, relax, watch the video, and order out Greek.
Could try Babel Fish, just make sure the catch of the day is from the Agean sea :D

Poor Mirage, she has this Greek problem and we are all having fun at her expense. I'm sure we all wish your computer a speedy recovery.

Why would I joke...here's the question and the answer:

Q. How do I change which language of WMP that I have installed? I installed the wrong language.
A: Download WMP for the language of your choice and choose Reinstall All mode, installing it on top of your existing install. You may need to update the desktop shortcut yourself, but everything else should be fixed. If this still does not fix your problem, find "wmploc.dll" on your system, rename that (to "wmploc.bak" or something similar), and then again reinstall WMP in Reinstall All mode.

It wasn't a big glossy website , but it answered your question. That site also has a lot of good CD burning info as well....I found it by searching Google for "WMP change language".

Karnac, I sincerely apologize. I will now endeavour to follow your above instructions, while mellowed out.
Brad, Creemore urBock: great beer! Very strong and malty-dark and creamy. :liplick:
