Hello Everyone

Hi Teufellj ... thanks

About me, I've been playing various lotto games for better than 30 years now. I think the most I've ever won is 3 out of 6/59. Admittedly I have a very, very small budget but I play every week.

In the last two years I've been using Gail Howard's Advantage Plus to play with a little more knowledge about what's going on. Again with little success. For awhile I actually thought I did better just playing hunch numbers. That's not really true though!

I stopped playing Meg Millions when they added all the new numbers, and recently stopped playing PowerBall and Fantasy 5 when they did the same. The odds climbed to high for me, and I didn't want to start over on those games.

I now will concentrate on one game GA's Jumbo Bucks Lotto which is a 6/47 game. I was hoping for a bigger prize game but that went away with PowerBall.

I just recently re-read Gails Master Lottery book and started using more of the charts and graphs in Advantage Plus so I hope that improves my game. I've also been tweeking an Excel spreadsheet I use as a dashboard for Advantage Plus since the DOS screen is so small, and I like all my stats on one worksheet.

I'd like to convert my Excel spreadsheet into an automated tool so I don't have to use Advantage Plus, but have very limited time to learn Visual Basic even though I was an assembler programmer in a previous life.

So I found this formum because I was looking for advice on how to set up the weights for the SmartPicks on Advantage Plus for a game that has less than 100 draws (GA Jumbo Bucks Lotto) since some of the charts it uses usually need 200+ draws to even start to provide any reliable data.

I'm happy to discuss Advantage Plus, Excel, and Strategy; would welcome any tips. Some of the threads I've read here are quite complex, or I just don't get the starting point of the thread but I hope to find some good info here and perhaps some great conversation on Lotto gaming.

That's me for now, feel free to ask any questions ...

hiya Tesla, ASSEMBLER WOOO:lphant:

yeah, I almost never bother with the super longshot big lotto games now.

pick4/pick4 are the only ones I sometimes chase, and shake lose decent prizes and stay ahead of the game.

welcome & good luck!

Hi Tesla,

Nice to have you aboard! I look forward to reading your contributions.

I agree about the large lotteries -- governments are starved for cash and one way to suck more money out of our pockets is to add numbers to the matrix to make it harder to win while growing ever-bigger jackpots that keep the masses dreaming of riches.

I think the best thing to do is find you best local medium-sized lottery, perhaps a 5/39 or so. Still good money to be won and much more likely that you can win.

Personally, I have been concentrating more on the Pick 3 game, which is very winnable if you are willing to put in the effort.

Good Luck!
