Not a single "prediction" from this thread has been successful, which means that the reduction method (playing 30 numbers instead of 49) spoiled the chances to hit the jackpot for the full 100% !!!
I strongly believe that major jackpot games have a better chance to be won by playing all the numbers. Moreover, players think I must be pretty stupid by claiming that most players lose the big jackpot games at the beginning of the draw (after all, the order in which the draw occurs is not important, right ?).
My answer to this is : The order in which the draw occurs is not important, ONCE YOU MATCHED THEM ALL !!! But please, prove me that you don't have a better chance to match them all if you can predict tomorrow's first winning ball (it only takes 9 tickets to successfully "predict" tomorrow's first winning ball by playing all numbers in 9 sets of 6 numbers - which leaves you with 5 balls to hit big) And, please,... prove me how you can possibly win the jackpot if all your tickets fail to match that first winning ball (which happens a lot if you don't play all the numbers !!!)
Now, the big question remains, if one could predict the 6 winning numbers from a pool of 30 numbers out of 49 numbers (haven't seen a prediction yet in the thread I mentioned), how many combinations does he/she has to play to have a guaranteed 6/6 ? Don't be disappointed... It takes 593,775 combinations, baby !!!
The smaller question is interesting as well... If one plays 9 sets of 6 numbers (each of the 49 possible numbers has been played at least once, maximum twice), how much chance does he/she has to win the jackpot ?
Here's the answer... the moment the first winning ball appears, you have 1 or 2 tickets matching the first winning ball (remember, you played them all). 48 balls are still spinning in the tumbler at this time. So in case 1 of your tickets matches the first winning ball (that's the least) you'll have a 1 in 1,712,304 chance to hit the big one. In case you'll have 2 tickets matching the first winning ball, you'll have a 1 in 856,153 chance to hit big.
Now which method is better. Trying to reduce the field of numbers to a point where you spoil your chances to hit big (in this case, it would have taken 593,775 tickets each draw - without any success) , or playing all the numbers with a POSSIBLE success ??? DO THE CALCULATIONS YOURSELF !!!
