Without an example (or two) of which gaps you're referring to, my early guess is that they go many drawings without repeating.
My( guess was he meant the difference between the numbers in each draw, but they are usually called deltas.
e.g 4, 10,19,27,41,56 would have gaps between of 6,9,8,14 and 15,
I have never done this analysis because it’s going to average out to (H-1)/(n-1) where H is the highest possible ball number and n is how many balls drawn.
Just what you do with this information is a matter of opinion, personally I can’t see how it helps. I see no connection between gaps in one draw and gaps in another. They are in themselves a set of mini lottery numbers.
