Films Released In 2013

I just thought I would find out if anyone has seen any good films released this year?

I liked the Bourne films but must admit that I was disappointed by latest one, The Bourne Legacy, although it is rumoured that Matt Damon will be back and appearing in the next one if it goes ahead.

Taken 2 was just as good as the first one, which is unusual for a sequel.

Dead Man Down was a good film in my opinion.

I wasn't sure about Oblivion the first time I watched it so I watched it again. I think it will either end up being a cult classic or a dud.

I enjoyed Europa Report, it is a Sci-Fi film that includes actual historical data but shown in a documentary style format, very good.

There are others but these spring to mind.

I don't go to the Movies, so I only see them many months later when shown on SKY so not many of them are 2013 releases. I saw the Bourne Legacy, and it was dissappointing, in fact It wasn't very memorable and I don't think I could tell you the plot if you asked me. The other Bourne films I know off by heart since Ive seen them all at least 10 times, I cant resist watching when they are on. I have recorded Taken2 on my PVR but haven't seen it yet. Other stuff I've seen like Premetheus, Hugo and Inception are likely to be 2012 or 2011 releases, so don't qualify.

I know what you mean!

I think they probably made the film they way they did because they thought that Matt Damon would not be back to do any more. So they introduced the other black ops agents in order to continue the series in the future if they so wished. It was a bit fragmented and lacked the punch to a certain extent of the previous films. It had the largest budget of the four films but took the least in box office sales and the lowest positive reviews.

Let's hope Matt Damon will be back for the next one if they decide to continue the series!

I'm not sure when it was released, but I just saw the life of Pi on Sky. Amazing film, worthy of its four Oscars which like Avatar and Hugo is made to be seen in 3D. I wish I had seen it in 3D, not just a great story, but a cinematic triumph.
