Dumb Luck > Strategy?

This couple won with a quick pick. And if I recall, the couple from Saskatchewan mentioned from the same page won by playing a combination of birthdays from their family. It just seems like the more you put into this the less you get back. I find this especially true with Super 7. I usually get something from the quick picks and virtually nothing from my own number picks. What are you thoughts on this? And does anyone know whether statistically more jackpot winners used quickpicks or other methods?

Hi Sheky and everyone,

I try EVERYTHING from a regular # set I have played for years to intuition and quick picks.

Since joining this site I am trying to get my head around being methodical and analytical.....both things that don't come naturally to me.

Recently I have won two 10.00 prizes and one 5. One from my reg. 649 #'s and the rest from the extra picks on Lottario and SS7, I think. Years ago I won 3,000.00 on Lottario from the #'s taken off a cash register tape I had in my purse.

At this house the family thinks I am amusing but nuts. They all believe in quick picks but not in any method. I'm sure they will all be happy to share my winnnings though, WHEN I win.

A friend of mine swears that the #;'s drawn are high or low iif it is raining or humid. I have not tried that one yet.

I am waiting to hear from the lady who is using Destiny #'s I hope she posts again.

I even tried swinging my Pendulum over the #'s to try for a winnter. Unfortunately, the message I get is I have #;s picked that will win, it just does not tell me WHEN ......LOL

So, now I have confessed to my very unscientific ways I will just say that I am having fun trying all systems.

For the next while I will continue to try to be more scientific and will follow some of your strategies as long as my not very organized mind will let me. The intuitive side keeps breaking out away from analytical thinking or record keeping.

I love this site and admire all the clever folk here.

Thanks for letting me ramble.

I hate Instapiks!

I remember one time winning 17 free tickets in combination Super 7. My co-workers thought I'd win the big one, but instead I won two free tickets out of 17 free tickets. Somebody watched me looking for winning matches on the free tickets, and when I was done, I turned to him and said "this is why you never see me play Instapik in the lottery."

Hmm... that pendulum trick is good for lotto, too?

Hold pendulum over belly...

If it goes around in a circle, then it's a boy.
If it goes back and forth, it's a girl. :)

You are correct, Sheky. Most jackpot winners used QuickPicks. A few players like to spend a lot of time on predicting numbers as a hobby, but frequencies, hot-and-cold numbers, cluster analysis, chaos theory, neural networks, dream analysis and any other system is useless in predicting the next random lottery drawing.

In fact I had a 5/6 by trying the lucky mubers from a future cookie... And that's the best prise I ever had.
But I still think we should have Dumb Luck and Strategy together, or there will be more stupid waste as usual.

Astrology numbers in the past have worked for me. Just find the moon's position in the zodiac and work from there (main, opposites, favorable numbers, etc.). Once you figure it all out, you can use another "sign" rather than your own.

I like to use the amount of dog piles set out in a grid of numbers in the back yard, however you get consecutives if the dog has the runs.

Wow! That sounds like TSN's use of Maggie The Monkey, the monkey used to predict the Stanley Cup Champions last April. Maggie predicted Toronto to be the Stanley Cup Champions. Now Maggie is magpie under someone's tire.

Good thing I don't go for Pro-Line like most of my buddies do. They put real big bucks on their games, and they lost real big. Take my advice and stick to $1 Pik 4s.

Another trick I use for weekend draws is after I play the numbers I choose, I get friends together and party. I get really drunk, really stoned, with classic rock playing loud in the background. That way, I feel like I've already won the jackpot before the draw is made. Believe it or not, it's when i'm partying is when I actually win.

So, the bottom line is you have to feel like a winner in every draw to actually win!
