where did you guys hear that? Even if wed's is won, it will be 40 million???

40 million does seem over the top. An unprecedented amount. Hmm, I'm skeptical myself. Maybe the lotto corp has lots of xtra cash on their hands ;) Wonder why?

Was going to add more, by editing, but now lost the motivation.

Ok, is it $30 million, $35 million or an unlikely $40 million?
I'm not sure that 6/49 has ever had an a $30 mil jackpot before-correct me if I'm wrong.

Anyway, was going to add that at the end of every year, the lotto corp holds - usually a whole series of extra draws with high jackpots to clear up their books for the year-so they state- all those unclaimed winning tickets, etc. (Too bad for those who missed out. :( Oh well).

Sporting of the Lotto Corp to do this, but has the added benefit for them of promotional effect in terms of sales and PR.

These extra draws with extra high jackpots are even much harder to predict, (all those test draws or whatever) so don't get too caught by all those dollar signs! Unless they space the draws out week by week you might just as well play quik piks.

Yes Mirage

A store owner just told me that few days ago...
They are suffering in Tickets sales...So it's time to change that.
Plus the fact that toward end of the year they have the Bonus stuff...

Soooo anyway, at $30 or $35 million, we should all find a way to chip in $2 and get all our friends to do the same, spread the word, play everrry combination (that should be a cinch) and it's a sure win!
But we have to hustle....we only have a short time until back to less than $4 mil! :D

Oh Millsy? This one's worth your while to bust your ass and get all your rich friends to play as a group!

sorry about that, i was typing in the dark last night and hit 40 instead of 30***, my appologies for the confusion!

I haven't heard anything from any retailers (nor my work) about the 29/30 and 35 million jackpots, I do believe that they are suffering ticket sales, even I am reluctant to buy on a constant basis because of the $2/line vs the old $1/line

I WILL BE PLAYING THESE THREE COMBO'S THE NEXT FEW DRAWS....

...25..&..26..

13..31..40..

..31..32..33..

Funny, these picks look pretty good to me also--(maybe that's not a good sign :erm: whoops! cancel that thought...!) odds are there will be a repeat of last draw's No repeat.. so that would scrap the 31 and the 32... except for the fact that 1 and 31 look like they might repeat. Flip the 31 and make it 13 - LD's ending in 3 look good. I think there will be a LD ending in "0", (like 10 maybe?) and it will be a low draw, also. We should see numbers last drawn 3 to 5 draws ago -- especially 3 or 5 I think. But with a high jackpot, anything could happen and usually does.

JACKPOTS

Hey everyone:

There is some truth to the rumour mill after all. I read the comments on the rising jackpots and said to myself, "self, you should be able to find the answer to that question". So I sent the folks at Atlantic Lotto an email and lo and behold, it looks like we're in for a very good and pleasant ride. The response they sent me was,

"Normally, after a Lotto 6/49 jackpot is won, the jackpot for the next draw reverts to the base level of an estimated $4 million. Occasionally, however, a bonus draw, funded by unclaimed prizes, is held. In a bonus draw, the jackpot increases even if the previous week's jackpot has been won. This was the case with our October 8, 2005 Lotto 6/49 draw. The jackpot was won, however we still guaranteed $20 Million with our October 12, 2005 draw, rather than returning to our base jackpot amount of $4 Million.

Because we know consumers like bigger jackpots, Lotto 6/49 has been offering a series of bonus jackpots over the past few draws. It is with great pleasure that we inform you that we have officially entered the LOTTO 6/49 bonus campaign again. The next 4 draws will be guaranteed at $25, $30, $32 and $35 million!"

This is as current as it gets folks. Let's go win some serious moolah.

:D :D
