when you check who's online, it shows several hours difference compared to posting time. also, last visit is some (8?) hours different than posting time during that visit and logging off? Does the site have 2 independent clocks?

Ah, just disregard the question. If I remember good, posting time several months ago was 2 -3 hours different than my local time. Now is something like 8 hours difference...probably LT moved onto another server in the meantime , or such...

Don't know what the default is on VBB but some use the local time of the Owner/Head Administrator, others use GMT.

Last time I paid attention to, maybe several months ago, if I posted something at 11 pm, the time shown at the post would be 2 am. If I post these days at 11 pm, the time at the post will
be 6 am. Something changed, I think…whatever, it’s not important , but glad since still have an eye for details(even unimportant)……:)

GMT (Greenwich Mean Time) is useful for IT purposes - it's a known, given variable. For the uninitiated, Greenwich is located at zero degrees meridian in the United Kingdom. No Daylight Savings Time is used, so there's no possibility of a missing or duplicated time at a time change.

Well, it’s not that is a bit weird… Just an example then: when I read this you posted last here without logging on, the post has time shown Today, 02:02 PM. If I log on, something changes and the time shown on the same your post is Yesterday, 07:02 PM. When I log off, the time shown returns again to Today, 02:02 PM. A bit weird, but whatever….

cool. think i can log in and get yesterdays numbers but reallt they re for today?:hair:
Yup...but what you would do with them? Everyone has yesterday's numbers for today. You might only need today's numbers from yesterday.....but, gotta wait a couple thousands of centuries and , who knows, maybe possible time traveling for that...maybe, it will be enough time to try all combinations in some games till then... :D

And, still ......different posts times when looking at posts when logged off, and logged on..

tomtom, if it bothers you that much change it in your User CP
doesn't bother me at all...just wonder what's going on, since haven't known a web page could be a "virtual" world...:)
