George they seem to have forgotten about Rexx in there... they mention Net Rexx which become C#!

Very good thornc. But, I always thought it had all started with Ada Lovelace.

Well, I think it all started with Assembler... or machine level language !
No really Fortran was the first ever "higher level" programming language!

Ada didn't appear untill the begginning of the 80's and was standartized in 83! Ada was/is I think an first object oriented programming language; but before the object there was the procedure and before that there was the MOV and before that .... 1's and 0's!! Holes in pieces of paper!!!


EDIT: My bad... I thought Ada had been the first OOP but off course google corrected me and pointed out Simula!
