I get 450 results with banks of 4 within 6 columns,but perhaps there was something lost in translation ?

If you mean MAXIMUM of 4 consecutives then I get 4905 rows of results!

It is very difficult to draw 4 numbers in a decade
We can use filter after crossing the two patterns
Ex = columns
Aaaabc columns and aajjjj = not possible by da 8=aaaa more jjjj

Jack, I only responded because I had already done a similar excercise for you earlier. I modified some earlier work it didnt take long. It is important you do not think I am interested in anything more complex that you are keeping up your sleeve. I am NOT, and will be doing no more work on this. Is that CLEAR ? I have answered your question and now I am finished.

The formations spreadsheet link is below. With no limit to how many repeats of a letter within the 6 in ascending order ( so jjjjjj would be allowed) there are 5005 sequences. If you limit this to a max of 4 repeats then it is 4905 sequences. If you limit this to ONLY 4 repeats (and no less) then it is 450. The filter on the spreadsheet allows you to set this limit.
