Hi All :wavey:

well back in 1982 when 6/49 started my mother picked six numbers, she played these same numbers till her death in 1988 at which time I took up the cause, now over the twenty two years we've won a hand full of Three and Four number draws, and yes I have to say it's been nice to receive these little pay backs from time to time, but the 6/49 was created to help amteur sports was it not, when I spend my $2.00 and now $4.00 a week, it's for charity, now if someone could figure out how you and I could write this off on our taxes,it could be a win win game for all, but I'm sure at that time, the Government would start taxing our dreams .

So anyway, if your playing 6/49 to get rich, well your just throwing your money away, what are the odds 1 in 14,000,000.,but hey, there still that one time, your ship could come in right, just keep in mind, your helping some starving Canadian kid shoot for his or her dreams in making it to the podium.

Well that's my spin on it. Jake from Saskatchewan

i know its not lotto but......

out here we have a chrity lottery every year for a hous and land package.

profit goes to a hospital, well it used to be $2 a tickt for years, it has gone up to $100 a ticket this year!!!!!!!!

only advantage is theres only 45 000 tickets, but wil cut a lot of poor people out of the loop.

:( it sucks

I just think people that play these charity lotto's have lost sight of why they were developed in the first place, to make a little money for their origination, and if it means using your greed against you,so be it I guess,I know I'll never win,but it's the fun of hoping and the dreaming of that big win some day,it's entertainment people, it's not a realistic goal for most of us to think we'll ever win the Lotto, but there are those that use 6/49 as a retirement plain of all things, bottom line fokes, it's a charity, and if I have to give up 1/6 of an hour a week to pay $2.oo more so be it,instead of picking up two DVD's from the rental store,I'll spend two hours dreaming about my boat,my house on Vancouver Island, and of course because I'm rich now, all the leggy blonds I'll have running around.

just my spin on it, Jake from Saskatchewan

Jakes from Saskatchewan welcome

I think you're the only member here from that province :agree2:

We don't guess here - only win. The only geniuses here are winners - you have identified two of them.

Only idiots and cretins think they are going to retire on lotto winnings - neither are here.

Post your picks and thoughts or just sit back and watch the geniuses :agree:

Good luck Jake from Saskatchewan :agree2:

Welcome Jakes!

We don't take ourselves too seriously here, although some do like to look in the mirror each morning and blow kisses  to themselves for half an hour ;) ... so join the kerfuffle.

Beak's right, the only other Canuck here from central flatlands I can think of is Randal, if you wanna send him a message just float a piece of paper out your window on a windy day and he'll catch it in Winnipeg :D
