first of all let me say that pari-mutuel usually works out in my favor...but tonight poor folks only got $2,661 for a Daily4 straight
California lottery needs to tack on a consolation prize when pari-mutuel payouts go below a certain threshold on a straight bet.
Come on California lottery, at least throw these folks a bone, give a consolation prize of assorted giftcards, $100 giftcard to a steakhouse, walmart or whatever...or set a minimum payout scale.
you are makin money hand over fist anyway. it wouldn't have killed you to payout $5k to each of the 7 straight bet winners tonight...that is chickenfeed.
