yup, I did a test run on CA SuperLotto Plus lottery tonight...ruled out (31-39) and matched 3numbers twice, totaling $20.

knockin out the partial-decades can be of definite value...I hope people will likewise be able to shake out some good matches:agree:

I think the trick has always been to choose your strategy and it will work (or not) for a given draw. Go low, go high, pick consecutive pairs, block out tens groups or concentrate on particular tens groups. What has been particularly frustrating is when you get the pattern, and each number you pick is one digit off each drawn number. I've done that more times than I can count...

hiya Mr_Rich, yup any number of strategies will work some time or another.

I just wanted to prove this new web-app could at times hold promise...since a common strategy people use is to knock a decade outta play. Anyway, I thought it was pretty neat that out of the starting gates, a $5 bet resulted in $20, not too shabby considering it is such a longshot game.

More lottery web-apps will be coming...along with some additional random routines, including weighted keynumbers, where users can weight the random distribution.

Had a peek Blitzed, this looks great! In a 6/49 game, one decade is missing 85% of the time so this is an important variable to examine. If you can drop 9 or 10 numbers that gives you a huge leg up on the rest of the picks.

Sure would be great if there were a 6/49 version...if you can fit it in between the fishin' trips and the lotto number pickin'.

hiya Icewynd, actually the 649 version has been up for quite some time:

I slacked on makin a CA SuperLotto Plus version for ages heh!

anyway, my lottery hobbysite is crazy-chaotic, stuff scattered everywhere:rolling:even I have difficult time remembering what it has & where...worse is the behind the scenes stuff in the test workbench...heaps of routines for algorithms, random, shuffling, weighted keynumbers, etc. I came up with over the years when I was bored, then I dropped the ball...just haven't taken time to cobble them into something yet.

Wow! :lphant:

That's great news, Blitzed. I had an idea that I had seen the symmetrical picks for '49 before, but couldn't find them when I went looking yesterday. Now I have them bookmarked, so no losing them again!
