hi,

I am wondering if anyone playing this game using progressive betting? A simple progressive betting consist of increasing your bets after each day that you didn't win, since this Derby game payout for:

1st digit = $3
1st&2nd = $25
1st&2nd&3rd = +$350

for example:

day 1: bet 1 ticket, cost $2. If lost = -$2......if win 1st digit = +$3-$2 = $1
day 2: bet 2 tickets, cost $4. If lost = -$6.....if win 1st digit = +$6-$6 = 0
day 3: bet 6 tickets, cost $12. If lost = -$18...if win 1st digit = +$18-$18 = 0
day 4: bet 11 tickets, cost $22. If lost = -$40...if win 1st digit = +$33+$25-$40 = +$18
...and so on

if you win just 1st digit you get your money back, if win 1st&2nd digit then you win some money, win 1st&2nd&3rd digit then you will win your money back plus $350 profit.

any thoughts?

Well, at 1:13 odds for the first number you could run into some looooooooooooooooooong losing streaks that would wipe you out. What sort of strategy are you using?

my idea is to find the digit are hit on average of 4 to 6 draw, then wait until that digit due then play that number. yes, doing this need big bank roll as bad thing can happen, if the digit you played skip more than 8 draws then you could lost several hundred, but keep in mind that the more you bets, say playing on day 4 if you hit the first digit you also guaranteed to hit the second digit as well.

e.g. numbers play on day 4:

1 2 10
1 3 9
1 4 8
1 5 7
1 6 11
1 7 12
1 8 4
1 9 5
1 10 6
1 11 3
1 12 2

let say you hit on #1, then the second digit will hit as well since you covered all the 11 numbers, the 3rd digit is pure lucks on where you them.

as for pay out, you can see if you hit #1, you will win 10 times, plus one 1st&2nd digit for $25. so total win will be $55 minus any investment in the previous days.

hiya da88, very rare that I play Daily Derby, $2 is steep...but if jackpot is unusually very high, then I might take a stab at it...Daily3 is the best buy.

Daily Derby trifecta paid $538 tonight at 1 in 1,321 odds.
racetime $34 at 1 in 1,000.
exacta $26 at 1 in 147.

Daily3 straight tonight was $596 at 1 in 1,000.
box bet $94 at 1 in 167.
box-only side of "straight/box" bet $47 at 1 in 167.

goodluck,

hi blitzed,

my strategies base on payout of 1st digit and 1st&2nd digit, any win after that is a blessing... daily3 doesn't payout 1st digit win.

thanks for you input

hiya da88, yup...kinda lame though that the payouts are less than Daily3, and at twice the price...at least Daily Derby is a better buy than scratchers which are a huge gimmick.

on the rare occassion I do play Daily Derby, I shoot for the one in over a million shot, if grand prize is say $600k+

da88 no thanks...I only goof around with my webapps or spreadsheets.

sounds like an interesting program though, with pattern analysis and being able to plug it into investor type charting analysis.
