As requested, here is my method, which you said you may be able to automate. I have it all in an excel spreadsheet, which I would like to send to you if I can find a way. The spreadsheet shows formulas and colours which you cannot see in this post.
First I wll list the Draw History of the South African Lotto. The Bonus number is not included as it is not used by my method.

For the prediction of the numbers that will not appear in in the next Draw - ie 406, each of the 49
numbers will be tested as if it appears in Draw 406 for each of the Draw categories.
From these tests, the number of occurrences of a particular number in NN Draws for Draw category
NN will be determined. If this value is equal or higher to the pre-determined criteria for Draw
category NN, then the prediction is that that particular number will not appear in Draw 406
Four levels of prediction have been done from Level 1 with very strict criteria and yielding between 5
& 7 few predictions to Level 4 with relaxed criteria and yielding between 32 & 35 few predictions.
So far the actual number of incorrect predictions has been less than the theoretical number which
is calculated as (P/49)*6 where P is the number of Predictions. The Bonus ball is not considered.

For the prediction of the numbers that will not appear in in the next Draw - ie 406, each of the 49
numbers will be tested as if it appears in Draw 406 for each of the Draw categories.
From these tests, the number of occurrences of a particular number in NN Draws for Draw category
NN will be determined. If this value is equal or higher to the pre-determined criteria for Draw
category NN, then the prediction is that that particular number will not appear in Draw 406
Four levels of prediction have been done from Level 1 with very strict criteria and yielding between 5
& 7 few predictions to Level 4 with relaxed criteria and yielding between 32 & 35 few predictions.
So far the actual number of incorrect predictions has been less than the theoretical number which
is calculated as (P/49)*6 where P is the number of Predictions. The Bonus ball is not considered.

I used Saliu's MDIED WE to generate statistical reporting and with the first part of it you can rapidly analyse the number frequencies for the required number of draws although you have to generate a report for each section of draws. Most interesting. Nevertheless this takes only a couple of minutes. Hitting 4 numbers out of the 15 is damn good. What is your logic behond this? Supposing you use 200 draws for analysis or even more instead of 100. I shall experiment with this.

Above is a chart showing the skips of the numbers in the ZA lottery(including the very last draw. The median is 6. 50% of the time the numbers repeat within 6 skips. An average pattern is 3 numbers from the 0-5 region, 2 from the 6-12 region and one from the 12+ region. When it comes to deleting numbers make sure you delete them in proportion to the quantities in each region so you achieve an even balance. Converseley if you only play numbers from only one region you are doomed to failure. A possible problem with your system is that you delete numbers with a high hit rate and knock out numbers which have skips of below 6.
(incidently the chart is the result of the last hundred draws.

The discussion of the SA lottery is universal. The 6/49 lottery is found all over the world including Ruritania. The characteristics of the behaviour of numbers etc is universal to this type of lottery. So references to the SA game can be used in the Uk, Spanish, Canadian or whatever.

What I meant to say was that if you are going to start discussing the skips of the SA lottery you can do that in the international forum, if this is going to become an universal strategy then it should go in the Lotto Tips & Strategies forum.... just to try things tidy!
No as much as you think, plenty of countries have different configurations, here in italy we have 6+B/90 and 5/90... I have seen anything raging from 5/25 to 7/49 to 6+B/90....Springbok said:

You can use Winzip to unzip the four files. After you have done this, Excel can be used to open them.
On Friday, I will upload another file. This file will have updates for the latest Draws, corrections, additions and instructions.
The additions I have in mind are time consuming to do - thus a few will be added at each upload.
