Temporary system shutdown will affect lottery services April 3-5

ALC is implementing a new central gaming system to better serve our ticket retailers and players. The central gaming system tracks all lottery terminal transactions in Atlantic Canada and helps ALC manage its day-to-day activities.

In order to implement the new system, a temporary system shutdown is required. The shutdown will begin Saturday, April 3 at 10 p.m. (AST) and continue to Monday, April 5 at about noon.

During the shutdown, some lottery services will be affected. Online ticket sales and validation of online tickets will not be available. Instant tickets such as Scratch’n Win tickets or Breakopen products will be available for purchase, but validation for prizes will not be available during the shutdown.

On Sunday, April 4, players may check their numbers on the ALC website (www.alc.ca), by calling winning numbers lines in Moncton (506-867-5858), St. John’s (709-754-2992) or Halifax (902-468-1072). Local newspapers and television stations also offer winning numbers information.

When the new system is up and running, all services will be available again, and players will be able to purchase ALC's new Thursday night game, Atlantic PAYDAY.

We appreciate your patience while we make these changes.
