Advance Polls Underway
The first ballots are being cast in the federal election today. Advance polls opened at noon today and will close at 8 this evening. The polls will also be open tomorrow and Monday from noon to 8pm. The location of the advance poll is printed on the back of the voter information card sent out by Elections Canada. You can also find your advance poll location by calling your returning officer or Elections Canada's main number 1-800-463-6868 or by visiting Elections Canada's website at www.elections.ca. Meantime the prime minister is coming to the province(NFLD) again this weekend. Paul Martin's agenda will not be released until tomorrow but it is known he will in St. John's Sunday afternoon and will address the Canadian Nurses Association convention.
