Doing some quick math on the Pick 6 game indicates a game payout percentage of 33.5% with a minimum jackpot - that may not be totally accurate - sounds low. Took a quick peek at the Pick 4 game and it looks like the payout percentage there is around 48%. I'll do a workup on all the games and post on my payout page when time permits - thanks for the link.

First calculations were off - minimum game payout percentage for Phillipines Pick 6 is 47%.

Pick 3 (Suertes 3 Lotto) payout percentage is 45%. Pick 4 payout percentage is 48%.

Starting jackpots for the three regular lottery games (Superlotto 6/49, Megalotto 6/45 and Lotto 6/42) are not listed, at least where I could find them but they roll over.

There's a game called EZ2 based on a 2/31 matrix which pays out 43.01%. The options are that you can either play the numbers in the exact order drawn or any order.

Again, thanks for the link.

Second set of calculations were off, first post is correct - payout percentage on Phillipines 6 Digit is 33.50% + - I moved a decimal point. I apologize for any inconvenience.

Phillipines lotteries posted on Payout Percentage Page on my site.

hiya waz, I emailed the webmaster about the typo.

anyway, I just think it is a clever game design...I'd definately play if CA lottery offered it.

I guess I'll just have to wait til I retire early to the Philippines har har! They sure have a whole buncha games to play, play cheap at 20-25cents $US minimum bet...payouts probably aren't as high as here...but sounds like an even trade bein able to spend less per pick. They have a 2/31 game as well. I'm gonna have to make some pages for those games...workout number distro & probabilities, then I'll play on my next trip there :)

Thanks johnph77...at least the Philippine lotteries are for "charity." It is ironic, the Philippines is a 3rd world country, yet they don't need lottery for education...they sure produce & export plenty of scientists & medical professionals!

Here in California, the lottery revenue gets pissed away on "education" and how do they explain all the dumb kids & low test scores in the press? what a waste.

I'd much rather see my lottery losses go to charity...it'd be nice if there was a box to fill in to choose between education, charity, cancer research, etc.

Why does education get the monopoly on the lottery? That'd be a good grassroots movement :)

blitzed -

Thanks for the kind words.

Not every U.S. lottery gives all their profits toward education - some states put theirs into the general fund where the rest of the taxes go.

Odds and payouts for the 2/31 game are posted on my site - both iterations. In one, the numbers on the ticket have to be in the exact order drawn, the other can be either way. In either game, hitting 2 of 2 is the only payout - 4,000 Php for the first, 2,000 Php for the second.

ah, I didn't know that some states simply place lottery revenue into a general fund...that makes much more sense..especially if they manage it wisely (yeah right!)

I'll have to check out your latest probability charts, thanx!
