A life so precious.

I came out of the corner store yesterday after puchasing lotto tickets only to hear a woman shrieking. As I headed over to a small crowd I could see a small dog laying lifeless on the grass where he was carried. I felt his his heart still beating and called 911 and asked them to notify the humaine society. As the woman cried for her little companion she pointed across the street at the school. She could see her young son staring out the window of the classroom. Apparently her elderly father had left the backdoor open and the little dog got out. I assume he was headed to the school when he was hit by a car. His heart slowly stopped beating.

God bless his little heart.

THAT IS REALLY SAD.
BUT WHAT I FIND IS THAT MOST DRIVERS DRIVE TO FAST TODAY AND DO NOT LOOK AROUND THEM ENOUGH.
AND ALSO PEOPLE DONT CARE!!! I READ A STORY IN OUR LOCAL NEWSPAPER LAST YEAR WHERE AN ELDERLY WOMAN HAD CAR PROBLEMS , AND PULLED TO THE SIDE OF THE ROAD GOT OUT OF HER CAR TO CHECK THINGS OUT WHEN SOMEHOW THE CAR ROLLED PARCIALLY ON HER(DONT ASK ME HOW!!??) SHE WAS THERE NEARLY AN HOUR .VERY VISIBLE AND NOT ONE PERSON STOPPED !SHE WAS FINALLY ABLE TO PULL HERSELF UP AND INTO HER CAR AND THEN DROVE HERSELF HOME. THANK GOD SHE WAS OK. BUT IT GOES TO SHOW YOU THAT PEOPLE EITHER JUST DONT CARE OR ARE TO AFRAID TO GET INVOLVED OR JUST DO NOT LOOK.

Driver

The people driving the car did stop. As far as I could tell they could not be faulted for what happened. The vision still haunts me.

And Mon, I agree that some people today are anonymous and unwilling to get involved. But not all.
