Nick...

Are these generated from your SW?

I REALLY would like to add wheeling to WINHunter.. *hint hint*

Adding a wheel to a stack output would be the ultimate back testing tool. Number Predictions coupled with their wheel output would produce ticket output, which would then be compared to the actual draw the backtest was being compared to.

Isn't your S/W in VB (Excel)? What I could do if it is proprietary is code it all into an Active-X .DLL plugin that could be used by WINHunter.

Either way, ANY input you can give on how to code a wheel generator would be great!

These are fantastic Nick :agree:  Thanks for that great contribution :agree2:

These are the kinds of wheels I love - hit 3 numbers and get your $$ back :agree2:

VB & Excel

Nick,

I just had a thought. I really don't need your sourcecode inside of WINHunter. Actually, I just need the spreadsheet. I know how to bind to Excel from VB and populate/read cells from there. I could fill the required cells and trigger the required functions (I think) from within WINHunter to pull the needed Wheels.

Just call it a software co-op!

And to make things more interesting... the core components of WINHunter are active-x dlls that you could access from Excel itself. You could load the history and stacks into the dll (load by file simply needs the file/path name), set the appropriate setting (Drawing to Predict = DEFAULT) and generate a prediction, then wheel it for the user. I can think of a few users here that would LOVE to have that type of functionality. Also, I could show you how to LATE bind to the WINHunter functions, so that users who do not have WINHunter installed would not have the option to generate predictions from a provided stack.

Hi Andrew,

As it stands the generation of
wheels is relatively an easy process
but optimizing & covering the wheel
requires time and processing power.

I'm willing to prepare an MS Excel
sheet that will do that for you to
include or modify for application
on the WinHunter Program.

Please allow me a week or two.
You can reach me at my personal
e-mail address for details and explanations

Hi Nick

In a lotto that I am playing, I must hit four numbers before I get to collect any winnings. I hope the latest version of LDXL can help me find a winning wheel in the following situation.

Say, by various picking strategies, I manage to shortlist a pool of 15 numbers for a pick-6 lottery. My instincts, or whatever, tell me there will be 4 to 6 winners in the pool, subject to the constraints stated below.

Min Max Dummy Numbers

1 3 01 02 03 04 05

1 3 06 07 08 09 10

1 3 11 12 13 14 15

What is the minimal set of blocks that I must play to ensure at least one 5 if 5 win?

Is it possible to have multiple 5 if 5 wins, under the same constraints, in a set of 100 to 150 blocks?

Furthermore the lottery allows players to make "system entries".

What will the blocks look like, if I decide to go for 5 if 5 wins, using the same pool under the same set of constraints, by playing under pick-7 and pick-8 formats?

Any form of help in these areas would be much appreciated.

Hi andrew3698,

All these questions can be answered
with high accuracy by simulation.

LottoDesignerXL does exactly that
to produce the "cover" of the design.

By simulating "draw results" subject
to our constraints, and comparing them vs the Design, the score of success will
tell us the "cover" of the Design.

So LottoDesignerXL is using the Sampling Theory. The theory of methods of obtaining samples and making inferences about population characteristics on the basis of sample measurements. Simple random samples allow straightforward estimates with valid measurements of sampling error.

If you ever work this out together....Make sure you guys to include these package of wheels ...like the pick 4
4if5,pick 4 4if 6,pick 4 4if 7 and so on for the pick 3 and pick 5...I can see an outstanding winning wheels generator coming out from this association of Andrew and Nick....It has my benediction!
