The Royal Canadian Mint will become a world record-holder today when it unveils the world's largest piggy bank at its Ottawa headquarters. Independent representatives of the Guinness Book of World Records will authenticate the record and recognize this monumental occasion.
The Vice-President, Sales and Marketing of the Royal Canadian Mint, Nancy Cogger, alongside Michael Allen of the United Way, and Kathryn Hill of HealthPartners, will participate at official opening. Visitors will be invited to toss a coin into the piggy bank, with all of the day's piggy bank proceeds donated to the Ottawa United Way.
