Here is what my program reports for the next draw along with a colour
code of hits/bonus number we had...
(the bonus number:notme: could show up anywhere)

(either four, three, or five hits most of the time from here) :agree:
01 04 05 07 09 10
11 13 15 16 17 19
20 21 22 24 26 27
28 29 30 31 33 37
39 41 43 46 47 48

No more than three from here is most likely:
(3 hits came from here in last draw)
02 03 06 08 12 14
18 23 25 32 34 35
36 38 40 42 44 45
49

For the last 1000 draws, we had the following results:
[4 and 2]: 336
[3 and 3]: 267
[5 and 1]: 235
[2 and 4]: 087
[6 and 0]: 048
[1 and 5]: 023
[0 and 6]: 004

Good luck to all players:agree2:!

Regards,
George:)

Very interesting Charles...
The Jackpot they say will be 23 Million but will see...
I would love for the sales too be really bad and it only reaches 20 Million. Then they would see that we all love the Jackpots being higher but the price increase is not agreeing with us.

If you call them.. They will come!:agree:

Next jackpot

charles2

Based on data provided on Loto-Quebec web site and some estimations, here are my calculation for next jackpot (all values are rounded):

Expected sales: $23,000,000 (my estimate)

Amount returned to winners: $10,800,000 (47% of sales as per Loto-Quebec site)

Amount allowed to 6/6 winner(s): $8,700,00 (80.5% of amount to winners as per Loto-Quebec site, not considering the amount allowed for 3/6 and 2/6+B)

Next jackpot: $15,600,000 + $8,700,000 = $24,300,000 (a lot closer to the expected payout of $23,000,000)

I think you kind of under-underestimated the value of sales kept by governments for administrative costs and what they keep in their consolidated fund for each province (a lottery is an hidden tax)

5 + bonus = 3 = $153,369.30
5 = 192 = $1,979.60
4 = 10,353 = $69.50
3 = 198,178 = $10.00
2 + bonus = 139,416 = $5.00

this adds upto about $4,243,840 [about 6.5 million less than your $10,800,000 estimate]

http://lottery.sympatico.msn.ca/cgi-bin/english?job=show_results&lottery=na_lotto_649

so the missing 6.5 Million went to admin costs?????????????????

and the other $11 million is where?

RIP-OFF is an understatement ...

Not sure if anyone has mentioned this bfr, but looking at how much the second prize pays now is ridiculous.

The highest since the change-over was 6x113~$680K on sales of $33.6M, which happened in early June.

In January a similar 2nd prize was 6x107~$642K, the sales that draw were only $14.4M !

So not only did they double the odds against winning the 2nd prize (per buck) but since it's based on the pool's funds each draw, effectively they halved the payout as well !! :dang:

Had to edit my math ... never said I could multiply without my calculator  .... but anyway you calc it the Lotto corp is still crooked

they [lotto corp] planned it all along :dang: :dang: :dang: :dang:

+ it seems like their is always many more 3 number winners than the 2+b, i thought they said the 2+b had better odds???:heul:

the lotto corp is making off like bandits, worse then the mafia if you ask me:eek:

charles2,
if they said that they lied because odds of 2+b in 7 is 1:81 while odds of 3if6 is 1:57.

And, comic_ly, a more difficult prize pays less ($5)

To not play or to not play is the answer :agree:

Odds for 3/6 and 2+/6

charles2

I do not know where you took your odds but on Loto-Quebec web site, the odd for winning 3/6 is given as 1/56.7 while for winning 2+B/6, it is 1/81.2

For the last draw, 11,362,485 combinations were sold, so you would expect about 200,400 winners for 3/6 and 140,000 winners for the 2+B/6. The actual numbers of winners are respectively 198,178 and 139,416.

The lotteries are not there for you to make money (although you may think you will beat the system) but for the governments to get money from you (or more plainly said, it called a TAX). It is up to you to spend money or not (the odds are well known and certainly not in your favor).

so basically, instead of doubling the 3 4 5 winners, they gave us worse then the 3 odds for 2B for 1/2 the $ at twice the ticket price = my case rest = NEW 649 = A RIPPOFF !!
