hiya Frank, yup, if he is already financially secure, nice gift for the kids.

however, I would attach strings to it...no blowing it on new Porsches or other silly impulse buys on things that they can not truly afford.

Kids would probably say that we are couple of meanies, but I agree!

Depending on number, ages and location of kids he should be able to get them all on the way to being student loan free/mortgage free, which would give them a great start in life.
